Stitches

Stitches to me are either knit or crochet, those are the only ones referred to on this blog.

Under more stitches are more stitch examples, but you will also run into minor ads as well. The ads don't take away from the view of the beauty though.

Back for the winter I guess

Just finished a pair of crocheted fliptop mittens. I found them extremely easy and fast and want to make more in luxurious yarn.

Some call these texting gloves.  They aren't much to look at, but will be very warm for those outside chores on the chilly days (all days from here on in to March 2012).

Tango scarf anyone

My gardening chores have taken priority for quite some time, but I still had down time to make a little something.  This sparkle pink yarn spoke to me as did the fun fur trim, and it said make a very long shawl like one from the old movies.

kitchen slippers and wedding veil in honor of the royal wedding

I took a turn and got into the royal spirit.  This veil is a gift for my friends daughter.

The slippers are great for the cold mornings in the kitchen and spills.  Chuckle.

Confetti

I saw a person wearing a hat like this, I liked it and decided to make it. Super easy, knit flat in trellis stitch, using left and right twists, ribbing, and decreases,

More New Stitches

Crochet cover for my Samsung, love it, camera.

Knitted playball, so soft for indoor play, so colorful, so irresistible, it is over 15 years old and has seen a lot of kid action.
Crocheted market bag, with a bit of flare, very strong yarn, a gift to me and I believe it is synthetic, this bag will never wear out.

Just  a fun square

ICraft.ca

Check out my creator profile on ICraft, it is an American site, although it is a .ca name.

I would like to find an ALL CANADIAN website like craft. I want a target market in northern Canada.

When you go to Icraft.ca search slippers under the clothing heading.

Ssk

About the ssk and the shruggy, the entire pattern is 8 rows that you repeat.
It is beautiful and it is the next picture I will show here

Crocheting

My next crochet item will be in a remarkable silk wool blend from knit picks. I will post that very soon.

First I will show you the shruggy on the needles, beautiful colour. If there isn't the colour named Dusty Mauve, well, that is what I would name this color, also from knit picks.

A stitch is a Stitch Put Something on Your Feet

I am on Icraft and here is my review of this website

ICraft is a site where you pay to sell your wares that you made. The majority of these items on craft are handmade jewelry. In fact there is a plethora of jewelery items to buy.

There are other items as well, check it out and you will see. I named my store "Put Something On Your Feet". I paid the fee to Icraft in December. I have not sold one pair of the snugly slippers.

The Icraft website is American. I need to find a Canadian website farmer's market style to hit my target audience.

A Stitch Is A Stitch

The pictures have not loaded yet.
I can't wait for you to see them.
I think crocheting and knitting are easier than all of this technical stuff, which every blogger is dependent on.

I will see if I can fire up my slide show til next time.

Crocheted and knitted

I went to Flikr and hope the pictures I uploaded at theie site show up on this page like I wanted them to.

Shruggy

I am working on beautiful shruggy as I blogged earlier.

It,s a lace pattern that uses ssk and k2tog, yo. If you learn these three things, you will be happy.

A stitch is a stitch

Getting the hang of this blogging system.

This is time consuming. I had to upload my pictures through a separate website first. Then the pictures will show up on this blog.

Sounds good in theory, and I would love to have great results on this blog.

Update

I am so new to this blogging mechanism.
I want to include pictures and videos, and hope to do that soon as I can manage.

My hope is to get the word out on what positive benefit hand made useful items can be. I also want to find the right market of course for the things I have made - 30 or so pairs of great slippers.

After all, cosy slippers are for cacooning at home, and in Canadian winters that is what most people do.

Knit and crochet slippers

These great snugly slippers feel great on. NOT like hard soled or other fluffed up synthetic slippers.
They are washable, and shouldn't all things that touch the floor be?
